2009 One Lap of America Event Schedule
With less than 2 weeks to go to the start of the 2009 Tire Rack One Lap of America (presented by Motor Trend), the excitement is building! The 2008 BMW M3 is outfitted with a few new parts and the necessary safety equipment for the event. The SSM decals have been ordered. The tracks are being learned as best as possible via in-car video and track notes. The drivers are ready to go and getting excited, and have even had a few ‘practice runs’ for the long transits between tracks. All we need now is for the next 11 days to go by as quickly as possible so we can get this show on the road!
With the event starting soon, now is the best time to show just where we will be. Schedule of events for the week will be as follows. Keep watch here to see how the Schaut Speed Racing M3 is doing! Sign-in and Sticker day at The Tire Rack! Great chance for fans in the area to check out the teams / cars of the competition!

Event 2 - Time Trial - Autobahn Country Club, Joliet IL
Sunday May 3rd
Event 3 - Autocross - Turfway Park, Florence KY
Events 4 - Tire Trial (Oval) - Highland Rim Speedway, Greenbrier TN
Monday May 4th
Events 5 and 6 -Time Trials - Talladega Grad Prix Raceway, Talladega AL
Tuesday May 5th
Events 7 and 8 - Time Trials - Sebring International, Sebring FL
Events 9 and 10 - Low ET and Bracket Drag Race - Gainesville Raceway, Gainesville FL
Wednesday May 6th
Events 11 and 12 - Time Trials -Daytona International, Daytona Beach FL
Event 13 - Braille Battery MPG Contest - En Route
Passage Control at Tire Rack - Midway GA ( Another great place to check out the teams as they hit the half-way point of the competition!)
Thursday May 7th
Events 14 and 15 - Time Trials - Carolina Motorsport Park, Kershaw SC
Events 16 - Time Trial / Autocross - BMW Performance Center, Greenville SC
Friday May 8th
Events 17 and 18 - Time Trial - BeaveRun - Wampum PA

Saturday May 9
Event 19 - Dry Skid Pad (unless mother nature says otherwise…) Back at the Tire Rack, South Bend IN.
