Results and Highlights from the “Brock Yates’ One Lap of America”

To follow the 2011 Schaut Speed Racing OLOA entry (the same ‘08 BMW M3s we used the last 2 years, with a nice little bump in power thanks to an Active Autowerk’s Super Charger Kit!) throughout the week of the competition, check out the “2011 OLOA” category in the “SSR Racing Blog” page. Schaut Speed Racing will once again be packing a half-weeks supply of clothing, some tools, a few computers, some spare parts and a lot of Sisu into a spectacular 2008 BMW M3 sedan to spend a week driving around the country.

Sounds a little short on clothing?  Well, when you’re about to spend 3500+ miles in a car with 2 other people driving between and on some of America’s greatest tracks, space becomes a bit of a premium!

This Friday - April 29th, “Brock Yates’ One Lap of America” presented by Motortrend will once again start out from The Tire Rack in South Bend IN for a week of cruising around the country.

Our schedule of events for this year is:

  • Saturday, April 30 - Skid pad at The Tire Rack, IN, Autocross at Grissom Air force base
  • Sunday, May 1 - Time Trials at Summit Point, WV
  • Monday, May 2 - Time Trials at Carolina Motosports Park and BMW Perf Center, SC
  • Tuesday, May 3 - Time Trials at Daytona, FL and Drag race at Gainsville, FL
  • Wednesday, May 4 - Time Trials at Circuit Grand Bayou, LS
  • Thursday, May 6 - Time Trials at Barber Motorsports Park, AL
  • Friday, May 7 - Time Trials at Autobahn, IL
  • Saturday, May 8 - Skid pad at The Tire Rack, IN

If you are in the area of any of these tracks on the days we will be there, I invite you to head on out and cheer us on!
