New news and a fun new project!
Hey there race fans! Its been a while. The One Lap is long gone for 2010, and the 2011 edition is not quite close enough to be forefront on the mind. But that doesn’t mean Schaut Speed Racing hasn’t been busy!
So why not share some of the other adventures that take up the majority of the year?!?
The summer has been full of Spec Miata racing. I’ve been doing what I can to make it to the SCCA National Runoffs. Dan has been cruising around in WI, IL and even made a trip back to Brainerd MN (its been LONG time since they have even held races up there), taking a few poles and wins along the way. I’ll be adding in a few posts with some details and highlights from the year, and have a page set up specific to the SM activity.
And then there is the other new fun adventure for the Schaut Speed Racing team. Chump Car. In short for those who know nothing about the event, its an endurance race for $500 crap-cans (that’s from the organizers website!). In keeping with the Schaut’s love of racing, adventure and as random/crazy mentally/physically taxing racing as possible, we will be entering a car of some sort in one of these endurance races in 2011.
And what would be the best way to go racing? Well, after these last 2 years haulin’ around a bunch of great tracks in one heck of a car, I decided to carry on the tradition. Therefore a “new” BMW has found its way to my little shop….. Here’s a teaser; can anyone figure out what it is?
