Most of the posts for next week will be added via the computer and my broadband connection, but with less than 1 day to go before making the trip down to South Bend for the start of the OLOA, now is the perfect time to confirm I can add posts straight from my phone. This way if something really notable happens, I’ll know that I can just jump on here and post up the excitement right away!

The schedule has been tweaked (schedule post has been updated), the early entrants are in (looks like there are 68 total, 7 in Luxury Sedan - but I’m sure there will be more in the next couple of days), the car numbers have been assigned and there is only a few days left to the start of the One Lap!!
And to help sweeten the deal and add to the excitement, I just got word last night that the car is ready to go!
The Schaut Speed Racing team will be heading down from their respective homes to meet at The Tire Rack in South Bend, IN mid-day on Friday to get registered, put the new tires on for the event (A nice new set of Michelin PS2, straight from The Tire Rack warehouse) and to add the event and sponsor decals to the car. Then on to Saturday and the start of one of the greatest automotive sport events in the country!
Schaut Speed Motorsports is please to announce a partnership with Cre8tiv Designs, who has hooked the team up with some awesome graphics! Here’s a sneak-peak of what the ‘09 One Lap M3 will look like with the graphics. Once we get the car stickered up, I’ll post up the new shots.

With less than 2 weeks to go to the start of the 2009 Tire Rack One Lap of America (presented by Motor Trend), the excitement is building! The 2008 BMW M3 is outfitted with a few new parts and the necessary safety equipment for the event. The SSM decals have been ordered. The tracks are being learned as best as possible via in-car video and track notes. The drivers are ready to go and getting excited, and have even had a few ‘practice runs’ for the long transits between tracks. All we need now is for the next 11 days to go by as quickly as possible so we can get this show on the road!
With the event starting soon, now is the best time to show just where we will be. Schedule of events for the week will be as follows. Keep watch here to see how the Schaut Speed Racing M3 is doing!
